Forum Nokia recently published an article I wrote titled Flash Lite 2.0 screensaver and wallpapers. The article is a series of examples demonstrating ActionScript techniques to adapt the classic “bouncing ball” screensaver animation to different screen sizes.

Originally I planned for a final example in the article that demonstrates how to use shared objects to support a user configurable screensaver. I touched on this in a previous post on series 40 content. I think this is fertile ground for developers to create fun and highly personalizable content for Nokia devices.

Unfortunately, it seems that while series 40 Flash Lite screensaver/wallpaper player supports shared objects, that the s60 screensaver player does not. I hope that Adobe and Nokia will work together to resolve this inconsistency.
