Adobe and ARM collaborate on Flash 10 and AIR for mobile devices

According to a press release from Adobe, Adobe is collaborating with ARM to bring Flash 10 and AIR to the ARM 11 platform. This could bring Flash 10 and AIR to all sorts of consumer level electronic devices including mobile phones, set-top boxes and automotive devices. The processors are expected to be available in second half of 2009, with devices containing the processors coming later.

SE will implement Project Capuchin in Symbian Foundation-based phones

SEDW posted a news item stating that it will be extending support for its Project Capuchin to its future line of Symbian Foundation based phones. Project Capuchin is a system that enables Flash Lite to access device apis through a Java midlet.

SEDW recently posted a new article by ustwo on how to use the J2ME motion sensor api to feed motion data to a Flash Lite interface through Project Capuchin. The example demonstrates a user inerface that scrolls through news feeds by tilting the phone.

Best Buy selling Nokia s60 phones with T-mobile contract

According to a news item at Brighthand, Best Buy will soon be selling unlocked Nokia s60 phones with a T-mobile contract. The article mentions Nokia N96 NAM (North American Edition), Nokia N78 NAM, and Nokia E71 NAM, all of which are Flash Lite 3 and Nokia WRT enabled phones.
