Flash Lite 2.0 with accelerometer on SE k850i w910i

Monday, February 25th, 2008

While searching for information about Flash Lite, I ran across forum posts about undocumented support for Flash Lite actionscript interaction with the accelerometer for SE k850i and w910i (both Flash Lite 2.0) phones. From what I’ve read these phones have pre-installed SWF screensavers and wallpapers that react to the accelerometer. XPERIA X1, no mention of Flash Lite

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Sony Ericsson released the specs for the XPERIA X1 on the SE developer site. Unfortunately, it does not mention anything about Flash Lite support. Of course the SE developer site has been inconsistent about Flash Lite specs in the past, so I guess we will see what we get. This device has a nice touch screen interface, and seems to be targeted at the US market. Moconews has an overview of the phone and some videos too.

SE updates to Flash Lite developer guidelines

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

SE developer web site recently posted updates for Flash Lite 1.1 and 2.0 developer guidelines. The updates mainly refer to new devices, though the documentation is a little more detailed than my previous copy that I downloaded last year in January. It seems that SE updates these about every two months.

You can download the documents from the Sony Ericsson Developer web site.

Samsung YP-P2 firmware Flash Lite games?

Friday, February 1st, 2008

I ran across a video review of the Samsung YP-P2 portable media player. The P2 is a nice touch screen device, in the mode of itouch. I would assume it uses Flash Lite for the interface because Samsung has used Flash Lite for the user interface for some of its other PMP devices. The recent firmware upgrades the interface behavior and adds games. I assume these are Flash Lite games as well.

Anyone have more information?
