AT&T may focus on Symbian OS - benefits Flash Lite and WRT in US

According to a C-NET article, AT&T may focus on just one or two mobile operating systems in the future. During a talk a the Symbian Parter Event, Roger Smith, director of next-generation services at AT&T, stated that “We want to standardize our platforms on a platform like Symbian that is mature and effective.”

AT&T to distribute Nokia 6650

According to allaboutsymbian.com, AT&T will be distributing the Nokia 6650 smart phone. This is significant because the 6650 is a S60 v3 fp2 phone supporting Flash Lite, and also should support Nokia WRT applications. There are few models of s60 phones in the US market, with AT&T being the only network that currently carries the platform.
